Azure Cloud Engineer

6 Month Contract

Newcastle and London (Full time on-site work required)

£550+ Per Day – OUTSIDE IR35

One of my national clients’ has secured a lucrative piece of work, which requires them to build from scratch a new IT estate (Greenfield project) for 1,300+ end users, across 45+ sites. This is required within a tight window/timeframe for H1 of 2025.

As such, my client is looking for a highly competent Azure Cloud Engineer to join the project team(starting Monday 3rd February). This role will require onsite work, split between Newcastle and London, with the majority of work onsite.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

You will be highly proficient in Paas, Iaas, Azure Virtual Desktop(AVD) and Azure Landing Zone capabilities.

Naturally, you will have a background in supporting a Windows Server environment, with proven skills in AD, DNS, Printing and Certificate Services.

From a networking perspective, you will be knowledgeable with networking monitoring solutions such as Solarwinds and/or PRTG, as well as having experience of Load Balancers.

As a greenfield site, you will be responsible for building an entire tenancy from scratch, as well as setting up Azure Instance.

This role requires you to work closely with 3rd party suppliers, therefore a strong consultant based mindset will be required, having an understanding of best practices etc.

You will be able to work under pressure and to deadlines, with little supervision required.
