We are a currently working on behalf of a leading M&E contractor in the North East, who is looking for an enthusiastic electrical supervisor/site manager to become part of their growing team. They provide providing high-quality electrical installation and maintenance services to various sectors, including industrial, commercial, and residential.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical teams, ensuring that all electrical work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors, taking a hands-on approach to problem-solving and supervising day-to-day operations on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation and maintenance works on various projects
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes of practice, regulations, and health and safety standards
- Monitor project progress, ensuring it stays on schedule and within budget
- Lead, support, and mentor electrical teams, providing guidance on technical issues
- Liaise with site managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure work is being carried out to specification
- Resolve any electrical issues or challenges on site promptly and efficiently
- Manage material and equipment requirements for ongoing projects
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in electrical supervision.
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations (17th Edition, 18th Edition, and relevant health and safety standards)
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Experience in project coordination and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- Full UK driving license and ability to travel within the North East area
