Position Overview:I am working on behalf of a M&E contractor currentlyseeking a skilled and driven Electrical Supervisor to oversee the electrical systems installation for a student accommodation project.. This is a 2-year contract role in the centre of Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and other related systems.
  • Ensure all electrical work is carried out in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, local regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors and on-site electrical teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of electrical services.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and safety. Address any issues or deviations promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with the project manager, engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth project coordination and seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports on electrical work progress, issues, and solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the team and contractors, ensuring that electrical systems meet the required specifications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor in building services
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarms, and other building services.
  • Familiarity with local electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
