A well-established Main Contractor specialising within the Commercial, Industrial, Health and Educational Sector are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing design and build contracts for commercial projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that each project is executed to specification and within agreed deadlines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative designs to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage industrial design and build projects from concept through to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project objectives and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, providing solutions or alternatives as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and any changes to scope or timelines.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, mentoring junior project staff as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
