Role Overview:

Randstad are looking for a full time Project Manager to work on social housing refurbishments across the Northumberland region. You will be responsible for leading and delivering refurbishment projects from inception to completion. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, health & safety, and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about delivering tangible improvements to communities through their work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Delivery: Manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, design, procurement, and construction phases, ensuring the effective completion of refurbishments.
  • Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and residents to understand project requirements and ensure their expectations are met.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and maximization of profit margins.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate a team of contractors, subcontractors, and internal staff, ensuring alignment and smooth project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes, ensuring work complies with all relevant standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to on-site, conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance with H&S legislation.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to senior management, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Sustainability: Incorporate sustainability practices into the refurbishment projects where possible, focusing on energy efficiency and eco-friendly solutions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably within social housing refurbishments.
  • Strong knowledge of social housing regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Experience managing refurbishments in occupied properties is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid
