Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to recruit for a number of Pipefitters to join a global manufacturer based in Newcastle.

The successful candidates will be required assemble, install and maintain stainless steels hydraulic piping systems as per provided engineering drawings. Typical piping is 1/4" to 1.5"/. Experience with Walform pipework is advantageous.

Interested candidates must be Time Served with demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing assembly based environment with a clear background in pipefitting. Candidates must also have experience working with Swagelok fittings.

Most work on site is bespoke therefore the ability to work with out drawings to your own initiative is a must!

Hours - Monday – Thursday – 6:30am to 3:00pm

Friday – 6:30am – 12:00pm

All OT Paid at premium rates

Package also includes  pension + private health + free canteen on site

These roles are available for an immediate start!

The Role

  • Installation, assembling, repairing and maintaining of stainless-steel hydraulic piping systems.
  • Experience working with Swagelok pipework and associated fittings.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Measuring, cutting, threading and bending pipes to required shapes using hand and power tools or machines.
  • Monitoring the quality of pipes and other materials to avoid errors and ensure specifications are met.
  • Maintaining accurate records of pipe dimensions, materials and other procedures.
  • Updating maintenance and installation records upon completion of tasks.
  • Comply with all relevant and appropriate safety guidelines.
  • Close collaboration with other departments including Engineers, workshop technicians and quality.

 

Qualifications/ Skills

  • Time served within a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrable background in pipefitting with stainless steel pipework
  • Experience working with Swagelok fittings
  • Able to reading engineering drawings
