- Lead the Data Team and establish a data strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Take ownership of the data platform, overseeing its development, maintenance, and optimization.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, IT Operations, and D365, to ensure seamless integration and data flow across the organization.
- Drive the implementation of data engineering tools, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Act as a technical architect and lead, providing guidance on data architecture, design patterns, and technology selection.
- Document the existing data infrastructure, processes, and workflows, and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows using Azure Data Lake, Google BigQuery, Python, and other relevant technologies.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Extensive experience with Azure, particularly Azure Data Lake.
- Proficiency in Google BigQuery for large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Previous experience in a lead or senior data engineering role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
