Role Overview  

We are seeking a Lead Data Architect to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in shaping our data architecture strategy and ensuring the effective management and utilisation of data across the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data architecture and cloud technologies, with specialised knowledge in Quantexa and Databricks. The position requires an active SC clearance and is outside of IR35.

Responsibilities  

- Design and implement robust data architecture solutions that meet business objectives.  

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and create efficient data models.  

- Leverage Quantexa to enhance data analytics and insights across the organisation.  

- Utilise Databricks for data engineering and analytics workflows to support big data initiatives.  

- Establish best practises for data governance, data quality, and data management.  

- Lead a team of data professionals, providing mentorship and guidance in data architecture principles.  

- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools that can improve data handling and analysis.  

- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and security standards.

Qualifications  

- Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a focus on large-scale data solutions.  

- Extensive experience with Quantexa and Databricks.  

- Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and database management.  

- Proficiency in cloud platforms and data technologies.  

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.  

- Relevant certifications in data architecture or cloud technologies are an advantage.  

- Active SC clearance is mandatory.
