The CompanyNigel Wright Tech are delighted to be working with a growing data solutions provider in their search for a Senior Data Engineer. You will have the opportunity to work in a technology agnostic manner and liaise with clients on a regular basis. The RoleCollaborating with Data Architects and Insight Analysts you will help to implement data pipelines across supporting data layers and models. Other key responsibilities include: 
  • Working closely with colleagues on the development of client's cloud data warehouse and IoT analytics projects utilising cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS 
  • Create and maintain detailed solutions documentation 
  • Adhere to source control best practises 
  • Coaching/mentoring junior members of staff
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies, methodologies and best practises in all things cloud and data

  • ETL and data pipeline implementation experience, technology agnostic 
  • Experience implementing solutions using at least one of the following technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hub, Azure Data Lake storage, Azure Function Apps, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda Functions, AWS Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of data warehouse and data lake principles 
  • Demonstrable data modelling techniques such as Kimball, Inmon or Data Vault methodologies 
  • Exposure to data engineering coding languages such as Python, R or Spark
