I am really excited to be working with a wonderful small group of nurseries in Newcastle led by a passionate and very hands-on owner. Due to expansion, she is in need of a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join her team on a permanent basis. Her nurseries are fantastic places for the children and staff with a Montessori and Forest school focus. They also offer Spanish, yoga and tennis amongst their activities.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of each child.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing insights with parents and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Support children's personal care needs, including feeding, changing, and toileting.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, carers, and other professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passionate about early childhood education and committed to continuous professional development.
