Prospero Teaching are working with an outstanding Primary School in Newcastle who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.Do you want to inspire the next generation and change lives? Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to inspire and support pupils in their younger years in an excellent Primary Schools in Newcastle. The role is to start ASAP.The role will involve working with pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will need to be a resilient practitioner and have excellent relationship-building skills. The role is full-time. For the right candidate, there is the strong possibility of the role becoming permanent. The hours of work for the role will be 08.30-16.00. The role will involve supporting the pupils with their learning and communicating effectively with Class Teachers to ensure appropriate strategies are used that are suited to the individual needs and learning styles of the pupils to allow them to engage with their learning and make excellent progress. It is a brilliantly supportive, inspiring, and enjoyable environment for both students and staff. This is a role that will give you the opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of children every day. This role will involve: · Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEND on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. · Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner. · Building positive relationships with Class Teachers to support pupils and discuss/implement strategies and learning activities to promote pupil progress. · Preparing resources for lessons. · Supervising pupils at break times and lunch times as required. · Having a "hands on" approach to supporting the pupils in their learning, with a willingness to interact, engage and form a positive rapport with pupils. This role requires: · An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you) · A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification. Level 3 ideally, although Level 2 will also be considered. · Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant within Schools in the UK. · An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff. · A resilient, proactive, and positive nature. · High levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with pupils. · A genuine passion for helping young people to fulfil their potential and flourish in education. · An enthusiastic approach and a willingness to engage with and form positive relationships with pupils.
