Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a long term contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our client is a well known engineering company with operations worldwide. This position will initially start on a dayshift but will eventually lead on to a 3 shift pattern once the successful candidate settles in.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer skills and experience;
Experience of machine tools
Formal apprenticeship/ 5+ years engineering experience
Working in a machine tool environment preferred
Mechatronics/cross discipline trained
Competent with computing, spreadsheets, word doc etc
Basic understanding of induction motors
Knowledge of the operation of relays/contactors/electro-mechanical valves/pumps, etc
Experience with the use of test equipment
Understands advanced electrical drawings
Understands basic hydraulic drawings
Understands basic pneumatic drawings
Experience with Siemens 840D/Dsl
Familiarity with Siemens 840D/Dsl advanced diagnostic, plc variables, drive set up
Familiarity with Siemens S7 plc diagnostic and editing
Familiarity with Siemens analogue and digital drives
