We are seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join our clients dynamic manufacturing team. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical panels. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical testing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Perform electrical panel testing and inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturing industry standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment.
- Document and report test results, highlighting any defects or compliance concerns.
- Work closely with the Production team to ensure all panels are safely tested and meet safety regulations in a timely manner to meet the Customer delivery schedule.
- Maintain and calibrate testing tools and equipment.
- Adhere to risk assessments, method statements, and company safety procedures.
- Contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Occasionally build electrical panels as required.
- Industrial experience within electrical testing environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and compliance standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to quality health and safety protocols.
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) – IEE Wiring Regulations (essential).
- C&G 2391 – Inspection & Testing (highly desirable).
- Competitive hourly rate up to £23 per hour, plus paid overtime.
