Questech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Biased Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at one of our well established manufacturing clients based in Newcastle.


The Role -

This role will be reporting into the maintenance manager (through maintenance supervisors) working days & nights 0630-1830 / 1830-0630 on the panama shift pattern.

Salary £43,000 to £48,280 (depending on experience).

This role would be suited to people who have worked in roles such as; Electrical Multiskilled Engineer, Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Electrically Biased, Multi Skilled Technician Electrical Bias, Electrical Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician Electrical Bias.


About you, the must haves

- Experience in a high volume-manufacturing environment.

- ONC / HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.

- 17th or 18th Edition wiring Regulations.


Required Skill Set

- Ability to read and interrogate electrical drawings (Essential)

- PLC maintenance & fault finding (Essential)

- Frequency drives, AC motor & process control systems (Essential)

- Temperature controls system (Essential)

- Hands on mechanical ability (Essential)

- Forklift, MEWP & lifting equipment (Good to have)

- Hydraulic & Pneumatic equipment (Good to have)


Experience Required

- Standard Operations (Essential)

- Total preventative & pro-active maintenance systems (Essential)

- H&S, environmental & quality awareness (Essential)

- PLC (Allen Bradley) (Good to have)

- Knowledge of SCADA systems (Good to have)

- Experience of frequency drivers (Good to have)

- Boilers/ steam management (Good to have)

- Chillers (Good to have)

- Weight management systems (Load Cells) (Good to have)

- Extrusion, injection moulding process (Good to have)

- Polymers, powder mixing/ blending process (Good to have)

- Solvent recovery process (Good to have)

- Computerised maintenance management system (Good to have)

- 5S Kaizen & Lean manufacturing Techniques (Good to have)
