Mtrec recruitment are now recruiting a full time and permanent panel builder for our prestigious engineering client. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building and testing control panel boxes for use on the companies’ products. If you have a background in Panel Building, wiring or other electrical assembly, apply now for an immediate response.

The job you will do:

  • Control Panel Box Construction: Perform panel box cutting, backplate fitting, and wiring.
  • Harness Routing and Cable Cutting: Ensure efficient and precise cable management.
  • Control Panel Wiring and Termination: Execute precise wiring and cable terminations to meet system specifications.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to validate functionality.
  • Site Commissioning: Support on-site installations as needed, ensuring successful system implementation.
  • Provide timely and effective troubleshooting and diagnostics for technical issues.
  • Assist installation teams with active jobs to ensure on-schedule, high-quality work.
  • Deliver customer support within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

About you:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Understanding of IP-based systems and basic network communication and diagnostics.
  • Foundational knowledge of electrical and electronic components.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, Modbus, CAN bus, and Ethernet.
  • Practical experience in diagnostic support and fault resolution.
  • Basic understanding of HSE protocols and requirements.
  • Background in electrical panel wiring/building or related electrical disciplines would be an advantage
  • Electromechanical Qualification: Level 3 or higher in electromechanics or equivalent would be preferred
  • Basic IT support knowledge.
  • Dedication to delivering high-quality workmanship
