The OpportunityNigel Wright is delighted to be supporting this national business as they seek to expand their IT security team by recruiting a technical proficient Cyber Security Engineer.Applications are sought from Cyber Security specialists as well as experienced Infrastructure professionals with security operations experience, looking to specialise in this field.The RoleIn this broad role, the Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for managing the company's existing tooling stack, updating rules and policies for security around their diverse enterprise scale infrastructure. You will also ensure security aspects of any infrastructure or networking projects are correctly addressed, as well as design, implement, and maintain security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and services. You will identify vulnerabilities, monitor for security breaches, and respond to incidents escalated from their SOC provider.The role will encompass:
  • Security Implementation and Management (SIEM)
  • Threat Detection and Response
  • Network and System Security
  • Compliance and Audit Support
  • Cloud and Application Security
