Due to huge investment this team are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to monitor, maintain, advance, and escalate security issues within the operational IT environments. This business is at the forefront of developments in the delivery of security and integrity of verification technologies internationally. This team are passionate about developing innovative security solutions and are always looking to be proactive in their approach.

Day-to-day of the role:

This role is integral in supporting the business by ensuring the security and integrity of the IT systems and advising on improvements, particularly in networking design and Microsoft cloud environments.

Key Requirements include:

Monitor, Maintain, and Advance Various Technologies:

  • Software patch deployment technology.
  • Antivirus solutions.
  • USB device control technology.
  • Privilege Access Management technology.
  • Internet Cloud Proxy.
  • Email Security Platform.
  • SIEM and Vulnerability Scanner.
  • Microsoft 365 Security environment.

Security Strategy and Incident Handling:

  • Contribute to policies and processes that form the cyber security strategy.
  • Review ITHC and vulnerability assessments, providing remedial action plans
  • Investigate IT security incidents and provide detailed reports.

Advisory and Operational Support:

  • Advise on emerging threats and vulnerabilities and their impact.
  • Translate security best practices provided by vendors to our specific needs.
  • Provide end-user training and support regarding policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of team metrics, including KPIs, evaluate documented resolutions, analyse trends, and make recommendations to prevent future incidents.
  • Represent change requests at the Change Advisory Board (CAB), and participate in the Problem Advisory Board as required.
  • Support internal and external security audits.
  • Aid the Live Services team in maintaining a stable server, communication, and network environment.
