Contract Role - Infrastructure Security Engineer - Newcastle/Onsite - 06 months
Gibbs Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented IT Security Engineer (Infrastructure Security) to support the secure and compliant implementation and maintenance of IT systems within our client’s organisation. This role plays a pivotal part in improving IT processes and systems, ensuring efficiency and adherence to security standards.
Role Overview:• Job Title: Infrastructure Security Engineer• Location: Newcastle/Onsite• Contract Type: Contract • Duration: 06 months initially • Sector: Healthcare
Technical Expertise:• Hands-on experience with multiple IT security solutions, including Cisco, Fortinet, Microsoft technologies, Linux, VMware, HP Hyperconvergence, and Veeam.• Proven knowledge of network and application architecture across varied technology stacks and protocols.• Experience implementing Zero Trust methodologies and working in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIS2, ISO27001, and Information Security Management Systems.• Expertise in selecting and deploying security solutions and platforms.Professional Attributes:• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.• Experience operating in highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance with national standards such as the Data Protection Act (DPA).• Healthcare/Pharmaceutical background is a plus.
