Audit ManagerNewcastle Upon Tyne £45,000-£55,000 per yearMonday-Friday, Full-Time with Hybrid Working Start date: ASAPWe are currently looking for a fully qualified accountant to join our client's Auditteam. This is an exciting opportunity to manage audits from planning through to completion, working with a diverse portfolio of clients and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality audit and assurance services.
  • Prepare and review audit plans and work, ensuring high standards throughout.
  • Manage the allocation of resources and staff for audit assignments.
  • Ensure audits are completed within budget and timeframes, addressing any issues that arise during the process.
  • Review and sign off on audit files, resolving queries before submitting to the Partner for final review.
  • Enhance client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value beyond the standard audit process.
  • Coach and mentor junior audit staff to support their professional development.

Required Attributes:

  • Fully ACA or ACCA qualified, with substantial practice experience.
  • Proven experience in managing audits, including handling commercial clients from planning through to completion.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and ideally CaseWare audit software.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing staff.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge, particularly FRS 102.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Client-focused with a keen commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail.
