As Finance Business Partner you will oversee financial control for major projects, working closely with a range of Managers across the business on financial and commercial matters. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial modelling experience, and effective communication to collaborate with various stakeholders, including non-finance colleagues.

Description

The key duties of this job include:

  • Oversee financial monitoring of customer projects throughout their life cycle
  • Develop and maintain forecasting systems and models in line with standards
  • Support the preparation of forecasts and business plans
  • Track and report on opportunity/risk management
  • Facilitate cost control and ensure accurate cost apportionment
  • Benchmark financial performance between projects
  • Support the financial accounting team during the annual audit and preparation of financial statements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop common reporting templates across the business
  • Strengthen financial systems and processes to enhance performance
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Continually improve professional competency and financial service provision across the organisation

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a busy finance team, with a strong background in financial analysis and modeling
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • ACA Qualification or equivallent
  • Excellent analytical skills and a high level of proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues
  • The ability to prioritise a demanding workload and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience in complex financial modeling and analysis
  • Knowledge of working in multi-site or large organisations
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous development and improvement.
