My client is seeking a dedicated Paraplanner to join their team, working closely with the Paraplanning Manager, Team Leader, and an established team of Paraplanners. This role is integral to providing full paraplanning support to their Wealth Planning Advisers, ensuring that all advice documentation is compliant and effective.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Collaborate with the Paraplanning Manager, Team Leader, and Paraplanners to support Wealth Planning Advisers.
  • Prepare pre-approval documentation and ensure recommendations are researched and signed off by Compliance, Technical, and the Investment Team.
  • Produce accurate, timely, and compliant suitability reports from template format.
  • Utilize technology to create accurate solutions for clients.
  • Perform financial calculations for advisers, including Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Annual Allowance (AA).
  • Engage in proactive self-development and stay abreast of industry changes.
  • Ensure all advice documentation complies with FCA guidelines and additional compliance requirements.
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally, verbally and in writing.
  • Work with advisers to gather sufficient client information and delegate information gathering tasks to the Client Administration Team.
  • Apply the company’s research systems effectively.
  • Provide clear instructions to the Client Administration Team to ensure proposals and documentation are correctly completed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in the financial services industry and knowledge of suitability reports.
  • Comprehensive understanding of a wide range of financial products and services.
  • Ability to write bespoke advice for complex cases.
  • Experience in conducting research and preparing tax calculations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, particularly around suitability and delivery of advice.
  • Proven track record in delivering customer satisfaction.
