Our client, located in North Tyneside, is a successful Chartered Financial Planning firm who are at the start of what they hope will be, an outstanding growth journey. They aim to grow the firm by building on their passion for delivering high quality financial planning, to clients with more complex needs.

As part of their growth, they are seeking to recruit an additional Paraplanner, who shares their passion. The individual will be challenged and fulfilled by their role, given the opportunity to grow and be well rewarded. There is flexibility around working hours, with hybrid working an option, after an initial period.

You’ll be part of a small team of paraplanners (3) and you’ll be supporting two highly competent, experienced Advisers. Responsibilities will include:-

  • Obtaining portfolio valuations
  • Producing portfolio reports
  • Producing product illustrations
  • Documenting client reviews
  • Preparing client suitability reports from templates for annual client reviews
  • Researching client portfolios to assess risk, performance, and cost
  • Producing pension switching reports
  • Producing cashflow forecasts
  • Producing research reports for product and fund selection
  • Matching investment solutions to client risk profiles
  • Production of draft suitability reports from templates
  • Attendance in client meetings, to enable a good end to end understanding of the advice and review processes and how the role fits into them
  • Process design is collaborative and there will be opportunities to help shape the way the team works
  • Support with the outsourced paraplanning relationship
  • As a team, support with administration tasks
  • Software utilised includes Intelligent Office, Fincalc, FE Analytics, Dynamic Planner, Defaqto and SelectaPension

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be an experienced Paraplanner, with solid technical knowledge across pensions and investments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess a client-centric approach
  • Be able to deliver accurate work
  • Passionate about excelling in the role and willing to develop and share knowledge with others
  • Keen to be part of a small growing business and play a part in its growth

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, hold Level 4 DipPFS (or equivalent) with the desire to study further
