Our Client:We are very pleased to be working with a large complex manufacturing plant in the North East looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Hygiene Specialist to join their HSE team.The opportunity:The Occupational Hygiene Specialist role will report directly to the Director of HSE and will be key in supporting the HSE Team and overall business in ensuring the highest of safety standards across the site.  The key areas of the role will be to review, improve and implement processes such as sampling and monitoring regimes which will include noise monitoring, management of industrial hygiene programs, risk assessments, auditing, management of robust SOP's from adaption/review/creation through to roll-out.  The role will also require strong collaboration with site-based teams, primarily manufacturing, with site-based improvement projects.   About you:
  • Extensive experience within regulated manufacturing environments where you would be dealing with risks around substances and the hazards these present, such as chemicals or active ingredients 
  • Pro-active and accountable approach towards identifying and managing risk and containment
  • Skilled at prioritising and managing workloads/projects
  • Very strong communication and engagement skills, able to positively influence across multiple levels of an organisation
  • BOHS qualification is preferred though priority will be considered around previous experience and capability
