A leading construction and property consultancy is looking for a skilled CDM Advisor to join their growing team in Newcastle. This consultancy is known for delivering high-quality, client-focused services across a wide range of projects in sectors such as residential, commercial, education, and healthcare.

The CDM Advisor Role

As the CDM Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance to clients, design teams, and contractors, ensuring that all projects adhere to CDM regulations from design through to completion. You will conduct risk assessments, prepare CDM documentation, and play a key role in driving health and safety initiatives across a diverse project portfolio. Key Responsibilities of the CDM Advisor

  • Advise clients, designers, and contractors on CDM 2015 regulations and health and safety matters.
  • Prepare pre-construction information and review construction phase plans.
  • Conduct design risk assessments and identify hazard elimination strategies.
  • Carry out site inspections and audits to monitor compliance.
  • Deliver health and safety workshops and CDM training for project teams.
  • Work closely with clients and design teams to embed health and safety in the design process.
  • Support junior team members in their development and provide mentorship.

The CDM Advisor

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership with IOSH or APS is desirable.
  • Proven experience in providing CDM advisory services in construction or property consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and health and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
