Job description

We are recruiting Chargehands to work with a long-standing client of ours that work on industrial sites worldwide installing insulation to industrial mainly to power sites. Our client works with a niche product the client understands that most people will not have experience with this type of application so you will be given training on the product and the methods of applying it. Due to the niche nature of the work our client preferably looks for candidates who work with Lagging, insulation and protective Coatings, Civils or candidates with a solid industrial background with transferable skills.

Recent sites our client has worked on was in Norway, Texas, India, Malasia, Sardinia and Italy, their project book is full of projects in the UK and around the word. Due to the influx of work, they are looking for candidates who are interested in permanent work only to join and grow the team. We must stress that this job is working away from home for long periods of time,

Our client is accepting candidates from anywhere in the UK as accommodation is supplied on all projects.

To be successful you will require:-

  • A driving licence
  • Covid vaccinations (this is required to gain access to sites in certain countries)
  • Valid Passport
  • site managers experience
  • site safety card
  • Be able to work away from home for up to 3 months at a time.

General duties but not limited to:-

  • Supervision of applicators and sites as necessary in accordance with Company rules and procedures.
  • Maintain a good standard of housekeeping ensuring that the working environment is kept clear of waste on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to include cleaning and safe storage.
  • Ensure that all duties are undertaken in a safe and controlled manner and for which suitable training has been provided.
  • Report and immediately deal with any spillages, hazardous and dangerous practises.
  • Reduce waste and ensure that all waste materials are disposed of in accordance with company and legislative procedures.
  • Conserve energy used by the company in line with company objectives.
  • Help the company to reduce CO2 emissions where possible in line with the company objectives.
  • Carry out day to day application as required by Line Manager in accordance with application procedures.
  • Control stock levels to ensure correct rotation and ordering in line with project requirements.
