Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive SEND School in Northumberland. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for educating students across the curriculum. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with Studies through tailored and accessible lessons.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
Plan and deliverDT lessonsthat are aligned with the student's academic level and learning objectives.
Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to support individual student needs.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
Assess student progress through regular testing and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience in TeachingMetal Work, andWoodwork
Strong knowledge of the curriculum relevant to the subjects taught.
Experience in behaviour management techniques within an educational setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
