Overview:

I am currently seeking a friendly and professional Building Host to serve as the initial point of contact for visitors and tenants at a prominent property in the heart of Newcastle City Centre. The ideal candidate will be key in upholding exceptional customer service standards and working closely with various teams to ensure that client needs and expectations are consistently met.

My client is a well-established leader in property and facilities management, overseeing a wide range of residential and commercial properties. They are dedicated to delivering top-tier service, and we are looking for someone who shares this dedication to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for guests and tenants, providing top-quality customer service.
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure smooth operations and satisfaction.
  • Offer support and guidance to event space users, handling inquiries and providing administrative assistance.
  • Assist with front-of-house management, tenant relations, health and safety, facilities coordination, and general support tasks.
  • Provide information to staff, visitors, and tenants via multiple communication channels, including in-person, telephone, email, and social media.
  • Address inquiries by providing specific building and tenant-related information and escalate complex issues to management.
  • Greet visitors, notify tenants of their arrival, and manage deliveries.
  • Stay informed about tenant projects and events to provide effective support.
  • Monitor and report on the quality of common areas, coordinating maintenance and cleaning as needed.
  • Help with meeting room bookings and event coordination.
  • Perform other building-related tasks as required by the building manager.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to assist with events and cover for colleagues during holidays or absences.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a self-managed customer-facing role such as Receptionist, Front of House, or Event Coordination.
  • Basic understanding of property management is beneficial.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Able to work independently, demonstrating a mature and accountable attitude.
  • Confident, approachable, and professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Discreet, diplomatic, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with a solid understanding of social media platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines.
