Experis are looking for Lead AWS DevOps Engineers to join a large, highly funded statement of work for a well respected consultancy and government end client.
As an AWS DevOps Engineer at lead level, you will take an advisory and leadership role in designing, implementing, and optimising DevOps solutions. You will ensure alignment with organisational objectives while advising on best practices, managing deployment pipelines, and driving automation initiatives to support high-quality, reliable, and secure delivery of IT services.
Essential skills
Leadership:
- Define and implement DevOps strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards.
- Advise on the adoption DevOps best practices to enhance development and operations efficiency.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on DevOps culture and tools.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to mentor and upskill team members.
Automation and Pipeline:
- Lead the design and implementation of automated deployment pipelines.
- Oversee infrastructure as code (IaC) implementations using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Ensure seamless integration between development, testing, and operations environments.
Technical:
