Social Worker - Children with Front Door Team

Northumberland Council are currently looking for a social worker to join their Front Door Team. The post is a full time, 3 temporary minimum contract. Northumberland is committed to ensuring the well-being and safety of children within their community.

The Front Door Team plays a crucial role in providing immediate support and intervention to children and families in need. They strive to deliver high-quality services that make a tangible difference in the lives of young people across Northumberland

ResponsibilitiesConduct initial assessments of children and families to identify their needs and determine appropriate interventionsWork collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, education, and police services, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding childrenProvide immediate and short-term interventions to protect children and promote their welfareDevelop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and carers, ensuring their voices are heard and respectedPrepare and present reports for child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedingsMaintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory and departmental requirementsParticipate in regular supervision and continuous professional development opportunities
