Job description

Our client are an award-winning group of financial services and technology companies, working with close to 20% of UK financial advisers and their clients. This is a full-time permanent position.

Our client is looking for driven people who can join the QC team. The team will be responsible for the centralisation and standardisation of all QC across the operation along with the development of appropriate MI to be output across the business.

What will I be doing?

Completion of QC checks across all areas of the business

  • Standardisation of current QC Completion within Operational Risk through:
  • Developing a consistent approach to the completion of all areas QC by working with the operation to ensure workloads are documented in line with QC requirements.
  • Structured documentation of all QC findings in line with QC framework to standardise the approach taken across each of the teams and wider TP
  • Accurate and constructive documentation of QC results to allow for effective communication with the operation in terms of remediation activities required.
  • Development of Operational guides to ensure all are fully aware of the process and where ownership lies.

Standardisation of the operational approach to QC through:

  • Implementing a consistent feedback process for all QC results into the operation
  • Embedding a challenge process for any QC fails that may require review following communication to the operation.
  • Facilitating a follow up process to allow for confirmation that QC actions have been actioned by TL’s.
  • Development of Operational guides to ensure all are fully aware of the process and where ownership lies.

Standardisation of Operational Risk QC MI Through:

  • Development of TL MI Packs to assist with team management.
  • Development of High-Level MI to allow for reporting up the line into management meetings

Further development of QC through:

  • Using an analytical approach to the current QC to suggest and implement improvements to allow for further development of current QC checks.
  • Review of areas to determine if current QC is suitable and has appropriate coverage or if there are opportunities to implement additional QC to ensure the risk is managed appropriately.
  • Attendance at weekly/Monthly team Risk meetings to discuss QC findings.
  • Attendance at Operational Risk calibration sessions to ensure that all performing QC duties are aligned in their approach.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good general knowledge of Microsoft office, willing and able to develop knowledge of systems and processes across the Group.
  • Ability to investigate issues, determine required actions and see incidents through to resolution.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to analyse data and identify trends.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work accurately and to strict deadlines, individually and as a team player.
  • Positive and self-motivated with a can-do attitude to problem solving.
