Back to searchWho are we?The Recruitment Junction was established in the middle of the pandemic in autumn 2020. We are the first recruitment agency in the North East to place people with criminal convictions into paid work. Our vision is to push back on regional unemployment, as we see ex-offenders rediscover a sense of purpose through work, becoming role models who will drive positive generational impact across their families. This is already unfolding in such exciting ways – as a start-up charity operating in a recession, we have received grant funding and been awarded significant contracted commissions from a variety of private and public sources, that is propelling our growth at a much faster pace than anticipated. Many local and national employers are trusting us to fill their vacancies, and most importantly have given second chances and paid jobs to 50 people with convictions so far, even in the midst of repeated lockdowns. The majority of those we’ve helped into work till now are at the older end of the workforce, or have committed more serious crimes – in any other world, not the easy-to-place or ‘low-hanging fruit’ – and all the more rewarding, and impactful, as a result.Duties and tasks
