Overview:

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnering with a global automation business in the search of a Sales Engineer. You will join a small sales team but be part of a wider global group. This role is focused on customers across the UK and you will visit clients to understand their requirements and feedback internally so the engineers/internal team can create the design. You do not need to do the solution part of the sell but gather all the facts. Some of the key markets they operate in include Automotive, Electronics and Medical Equipment however, they do cover other markets too.

Remote role with travel required to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target opportunities that currently use or could use automation.
  • Obtain detailed specifications for all customer requirements.
  • Provide detailed brief on customer requirements along with possible solutions
  • Initial negotiation on contracts, prices and delivery dates that meet commercial requirements.
  • Update the CRM system, quote directories and business systems.
  • Manage the customer relationships.
  • Provide a single point of contact for customers.
  • Where specialist knowledge is required ensure that the relevant specialist is identified and cost obtained.
  • Ensure project or contract changes are identified to the business.
  • Support the conclusion of any commercial problems such as payment or changes in specification.
