Job Description:
As a Trainee Electrical Estimator, you will work closely with our experienced estimating team to assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and grow your career in electrical estimation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing project specifications and drawings to understand the electrical requirements
- Learn to prepare cost estimates by analysing materials, labour, and time requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information
- Support in preparing bid proposals and documentation for submission
- Track and manage project costs and update estimates as needed
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices
Requirements:
- Strong interest in the electrical and construction industry
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers
- Basic understanding of electrical systems (advantageous but not essential)
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
