We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Professional to join a team in Newcastle on a fixed term contract for 6-12 months ( project due to end September 2025 )
The salary package for this role is 55-60k (which includes a car allowance)
Site based initially 5 days a week and or as and when required. The ideal candidate will be a chartered member of IOSH as minimum and have knowledge and experience of construction and site work. Fire safety would also be a requirement.
The role will involve reviewing the contractor's RAMS, managing the Permit to Work Process and providing H&S competent support for the duration of the contract to ensure a safe working environment. The candidate would report directly to the Project Management team on site.
The candidate will be required to attend meetings / review plans and approaches to provide technical advice on whether the proposed approaches will ensure a safe working environment but also to provide a consistency regarding contractor RAMS and permit to work procedures.
