Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are now looking to recruit a EHS Manager on a permanent basis.

The Job you’ll do
- Ensure site compliance with all relevant Health and Safety and Environmental legal requirements.
- Develop and implement and improve health and safety risk reduction initiatives to safeguard employees and the company.
- Develop, implement and improve environmental programs with legal, risk reduction and cost saving objectives.
- Manage all aspects of the site’s Occupational Health program and laisse with the Site’s Occupational Health Provider.
- Be the site focal point for gathering evidence for the Insurance company to defend against personal injury claims.
- Develop, implement and improve the site Health and Safety and Environmental management systems.
- Support Managers and Team Leaders in the fulfilment of their EHS responsibilities.
- Carry out investigations into accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Carry out Risk Assessments and recommend improvement actions.
- Carry out and monitor EHS Training and Toolbox talks.
- Tracking and maintenance of EHS KPIs.
- Maintain EHS documentation in line with site Quality Management processes.
- Moderation of EHS workshops.
- Promote a positive Health and Safety culture across site.
- Identify Health and Safety training for the site.
- Maintain EHS CPD in line with business needs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Health and Safety accreditation (NEBOSH Diploma or similar).
- Environmental Accreditation (NEBOSH Certificate or similar).
- Management & Leadership Skills.
- Experience in accident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Experience in the preparation and performance of EHS audits.
- Experience of managing Occupational Health.
- Experience of working with insurers to investigate personal injury claims.
- Knowledge of relevant EHS legislation.
- Experience in performing EHS training.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Conceptual and systematic work approach.
- Self-starter with good Organisational skills.
- Ability to develop and improve procedures.
- Ability to train in additional methods and procedures.
- Ability to train others.
- Investigative and deductive skills.
