Standby Healthcare are working in partnership with one of our clients to help recruit for a Care Assistant to be based in an established Elderly and Dementia residential home with a Good CQC rating.

As the care assistant you will be joining an an established team within a highly supportive environment This is a hugely rewarding where you will make positive difference to the lives of their residents.

This role is working night shifts, 33 hours per week 8pm to 8am with 1 hour unpaid break on a temporary to permanent basis

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest quality of care to residents
  • Undertake the role of key-worker with a group of residents under the supervision of a senior member of staff and to assist in the admission of residents.
  • Participate in developing and reviewing individual care plans for residents, this may include residents with dementia, in accordance with the Quality Standards manual.
  • Respect residents’ rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
  • Provide personal and social care in accordance with individual care plans with the aim of enhancing the residents’ social, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Previous care experience or experience of working with people.
  • Willingness to undertake level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
