We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Senior Care Assistant to join our well-established residential care home in Newcastle upon Tyne, specialising in elderly and dementia care. This role is ideal for a compassionate and proactive professional with a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the night care team, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being.
  • Administer and manage medication in line with care plans and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks, responding effectively to any incidents or emergencies.
  • Monitor and record residents' physical, emotional, and psychological well-being, escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate care documentation and ensure compliance with CQC standards.
  • Foster a compassionate and supportive environment, ensuring residents feel safe and valued.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
  • Proven experience in a senior care role within an elderly or dementia care setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and person-centred care principles.
  • Experience in medication administration and care planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
