Were on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the team at The Diamond Inn, Ponteland.

Comprising of a popular village pub, bed and breakfast letting rooms, and busy function room, we are recruiting someone with the capability to steadily manage the day to day venue operations across each department as well as oversee constant business development.As General Manager, you will not only nurture and develop the team with energy and enthusiasm, but you will also work closely with our Operations Team.


Our ideal candidate will:

- Have a great front of house presence, with a focus on leading by example in inspiring and mentoring a team across multiple departments to get the best out of all staff members

- Show a comprehensive knowledge of quality food and drink, with an eye for detail

- Demonstrate strategic thinking, with a proven record of on-brand business development and an in depth understanding of the industry

- Possess a detailed comprehension of financial budgets, margins and targets and the ability to improve profitability and control costs effectively

- Be diligent about ensuring that routine procedures are followed with strong knowledge of health, safety and compliance procedures and regulations

- Have good awareness with an analytical approach to problem solving

- Have a proven record of success in a similar role.Previous experience of operating or managing a property with B&B letting rooms and an understanding of hotel management would be desirable.
