1:1  SEND Teaching Assistant

Hello Education are supporting a local Primary School who need a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start asap.

Your role will be to assist teachers in the classroom whilst supporting the pupils’ learning and development. You will be required to provide learning support for a pupil within the class. We are looking for the following qualities in applicants:

• Be able to deliver lessons on a 1:1 basis
• Have experience with working with behaviour
• Have experience of working with primary aged children with additional needs
• Friendly, positive and pro-active attitude
• Passion for education
• Ability to use initiative
• Reliability
• Adaptability
• Team player
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant your roles and responsibilities include:

• Delivering lessons on a 1:1 basis
• Promoting good behaviour/ managing challenging behaviour
• Aiding pupils in their learning as effectively as possible
• Providing feedback on learning and development to the teacher
• Creating and maintaining an orderly and supportive learning environment
• Administrative tasks

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
