Roles and Responsibilities:
- Teach across all levels and abilities, including GCSE and Functional Skills English.
- Inspire and engage pupils, fostering curiosity, interest, and enjoyment in English.
- Ensure all pupils have equal access to English and experience success in their work.
- Develop students' familiarity, competence, and confidence with key English concepts, principles, methods, and vocabulary.
- Dedicate extra time when needed to help students reach their highest potential.
- Contribute to departmental responsibilities as required.
Skills and Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- A UK-recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current teaching techniques and topics in English instruction.
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
- Experience delivering English instruction.
