The School and Role

A First School based in Newcastle Upon Tyne are looking to employ an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2024. The successful applicant will be working within a Year 1 class and the Senior Leadership Team would like to appoint an experienced candidate for this position, confident in supporting with Phonics and small interventions. This is a part-time role, working mornings only, 08:30-12:30, four days per week.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

-          Experience of working within Key Stage 1.

-          Experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND) would be beneficial.

-          An ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-          Excellent communication skills.

-          Hold a Level 2 qualification or above in supporting Teaching and Learning.
