The School and Role

A larger than average Primary School situated in West Newcastle are looking to appoint a KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time from March 2025. The successful applicant will be working with a Year 2 class, mainly offering 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism and some whole class support at times. The school would like to employ a forward-thinking, nurturing TA who will work well independently and as part of a team. This is a long-term role, with potential to turn permanent.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferably have experience of working in Key Stage 1.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A calm and approachable manner.
