TeacherActive are looking for a Teaching Assistant in the Newcastle area. We have opportunities to work within a variety of schools within the area. We create amazing rapport with our schools and support staff in order to find you the best suitable placements. We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant / TA to cover day to day, short-term and long-term placements. This is a great chance to widen your experience and have the excitement of working within local schools. You will have the guaranteed opportunity to support pupils and help them thrive within the school.

A successful Teaching assistant will have:

• SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant experience
• Experience of supporting young people on a 1:1 basis (desirable)
• Experience of supporting pupils with Autism / ASD
• Experience working within a Primary setting
• A good understanding of safeguarding and Child Protection
