The School and Role

A vibrant Primary School situated within  Newcastle are looking for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant from October 2024. The successful applicant will be working within a Year 1 class, with all pupils working at varied abilities. This will be mainly general support, however, small group/1:1 intervention’s may be required. This is a full-time role, working Monday-Friday, 08:30-15:30 with potential to turn permanent if all goes well, previous experience of working within KS1 is essential.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will:

-          Preferably have experience of working within KS1.

-          Preferably hold a Level 2 Teaching Qualification or above.

-          Have an ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-          Have a friendly and enthusiastic personality.

-          Have an ability to offer differentiated learning and support pupils with SEND.
