Up to £100k + car allowance + bonus up to 20% + PMI + excellent pension

We are excited to announce a newly created role for a Group HR Director. This pivotal position will provide strategic advice and guidance to the board, lead and manage HR teams across three sites in the UK, and support the Managing Directors in each business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the board on HR-related matters,
  • Lead and manage HR teams across three UK sites.
  • Support the Managing Directors in each business unit with all people related matters.
  • Drive business growth through effective HR strategies.
  • Modernise the HR function to align with contemporary practices.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are updated in preparation for upcoming new legislation.
  • Lead on strategic change programmes including restructures and redundancies.
  • Lead of succession planning and workforce planning.
  • Lead transformational change initiatives within the HR department.
  • Utilise the HRIS to provide meaningful data to support business decisions.
  • Trade union negotiations.
  • Align the HR strategy to the overall group business strategy.

Requirements:

  • Must have proven experience with Trade Unions.
  • Strong experience in leading, managing and developing teams.
  • Strong background in supporting business growth.
  • Expertise in modernising HR functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformational change.
  • Ideally, experience in the industrial sector.
  • Strong employee relations experience, including handling tribunal cases.
  • Experience working in an environment with a high number of Apprentices.
  • CIPD qualified
