Henlee Resourcing is working with a renowned and highly successful retail business to recruit a People Development Consultant on a permanent basis.

Imagine a role where your expertise in learning and training can really shine! As People Development Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of retail employees and managers.

Reporting to the People Development Manager, your focus will be on designing, developing, and delivering impactful training initiatives. These initiatives will aim to enhance performance, support career development, and ensure succession planning, all while maintaining consistent customer excellence.

Specifically, the role will involve:

  • Identifying development gaps and opportunities based on business needs.
  • Owning and implementing end-to-end development support plans.
  • Informing and managing stakeholders on planned support and learner progress.
  • Coaching management to enhance leadership and management skills.
  • Analysing store data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Supporting managers in delivering a robust induction and onboarding process.
  • Assisting in the delivery of effective performance reviews, 1-1s, and PDPs.
  • Designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating quality blended learning content and resources.
  • Supporting other projects as directed.

The ideal candidate will have all of the above responsibilities, gained from within a retail (or very similar commercial) environment. You will be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and, have a positive approach that inspires learners to engage.

Empathy, excellent communication skills and, the ability to manage demanding stakeholders are essential. Flexibility to travel, including regular overnight stays, is also crucial, as the role covers a large geographic area with 30+ stores.
