Role: Contract / Interim Mobile App Tester
Location: Newcastle / Hybrid (3 / 2 split)
Contract: initial 3 months, likely longer (Outside Ir35)

Exciting opportunity to join a high growth, B2C Tech organisation.
As a Contract Manual Tester (Mobile Apps Specialist), you will be responsible for testing new mobile features, uncovering defects, and supporting teams in improving test coverage across the iOS and Android application.
You will work alongside developers, product teams, and other testers to validate releases, execute test cases, and ensure an exceptional mobile user experience.
This role will focus on functional, exploratory, usability, and regression testing for both native versions of the mobile application.

Essential:
- Mobile Testing Expertise: 5+ years in mobile app testing (iOS & Android).
- Defect Reporting & Investigation: Ability to log detailed, reproducible bug reports, including device-specific issues.
- Mobile-Specific Testing Knowledge: Experience with touch gestures, push notifications, location services, offline mode, and background processing.
- Cross-Device Testing: Ability to test on real devices, emulators, and cloud-based testing services
Desirable:
- API Testing for Mobile Apps: Ability to validate mobile API interactions using Postman, Swagger
- Basic SQL Querying: Understanding of data validation via SQL queries.
- Automation Awareness: Familiarity with mobile automation testing frameworks
- Performance & Load Testing: Awareness of mobile performance testing tools
Role is 3 days per week hybrid near Newcastle. Commutable from most areas in the North East.
