The CompanyNigel Wright Tech is delighted to be working closely with a North East based professional services organisation as they seek to appoint an Application Specialist. Providing advanced application support you will manage incidents to resolution, escalating to third parties as and when required. The RoleKey responsibilities: 
  • Provide application support on the company's ERP solution, managing workload through IM&T service desk ticketing system 
  • Escalate and manage support requests to 3rd party vendors, documenting and building knowledge base to improve skillset of internal application support team 
  • Oversee change management and communication of custom developments, patch releases, new functionality and system upgrades 
  • Provide system admin training on supported systems when required 
  • Demo new features and functionality to the business 
The RequirementsKey requirements: 
  • Proficiency in system configuration, data integration and troubleshooting 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages 
  • Experience managing systems
  • Ability to accurately interpret users' requirements 
  • Able to present proposals to internal users and influence decision makers 
  • Awareness of SQL would be beneficial
