We're on the hunt for a MQ Administrator to join our Technology Operations Core team. If you like a fast-paced role that will challenge you, then please read on!

What you'll be doing• Plan and execute technical and procedural improvements to the MQ Platform and where relevant associated applications• Providing 2nd /3rd Line Support, offering support, guidance and a technical escalation point to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner• Take ownership of technical issues, ensuring the correct parties are involved to formulate and deliver a resolution• Manage your own workload to meet the changing requirements of both production support and project delivery• Provision of 24x7 on-call support for live service as well as project implementation• Maintain documentation in terms of process and look for ways to improve/automate current processes• Representing your team at key forums such as Security and Service Design Clinic(SSDC), Change Advisory Board (CAB), Major Change Board (MCAB) and may be required to attend or support on occasion at Technical Design Authority (TDA)

We need you to have• Deep expertise and enduring curiosity in the operation of MQ on RHEL, Windows and z/OS• A sound understanding of the principles of resilience, operability and security, and how they relate to MQ• A desire to explore and implement new technologies that transform our ways of working• Communication and influencing skills to be able to effectively communicate complex requirements to colleagues with varying levels of technical knowledge and ensure requirements are delivered• Ability to maintain good working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.

It's a bonus if you have but not essential• Good working knowledge of Core Banking Platform• Recent experience of core modernisation and managing digital demands on CICS infrastructure• Experience and skills in other mainframe technologies, such as z/OS, VSAM, DS storage, FileAid, Innovation Access Method, Omegamon, SYSB-II and Dynatrace
