The role:

This team are seeking a Security Architect to join our team, offering a hybrid working model and a range of benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping security requirements, managing IT Security Blueprints, and ensuring the protection of customer data and assets. This role is pivotal in driving our IT estate towards strategic cloud technology systems and providing security advice to the technology teams.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work closely with business areas to understand and shape their security requirements.
  • Accountable for the control of IT Security Blueprints, defining end state architecture, current state, and transition roadmaps.
  • Support the creation and execution of technology and service roadmaps towards cloud technology.
  • Manage day-to-day security architecture queries and provide security advice to technology teams.
  • Work closely with third-party providers to deliver IT services.
  • Involved in creating and maintaining IT requirements for procuring IT services.
  • Select and collaborate with third-party providers to provide solutions for the Business, with some solutioning brought in-house.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing security solution and enterprise architecture and design strategies in a multi-supplier environment.
  • Ability to undertake detailed security analysis of technical designs and provide security assurance of supplier designs and proposals.
  • Broad technical knowledge covering web applications and services, information, infrastructure, cloud and managed service architectures. Knowledge of GDS Principles.
  • Industry Recognised Qualifications e.g. CISSP, CISMP, CCP, HMG Information Standards, ISO Standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of emerging security technologies including cloud technology, mobile devices and apps, collaborative working tools.
  • Desirable: TOGAF, SABSA experience, Team and Line Management experience.
